International Day of Girl Child: NEDAN Foundation on the occasion of “International day of Girl” Child celebrated the programme in Anthaigwlao, Weaving Destination Campus where teachers from Germany were the guest of the programme. Girl children from different displaced locations of Kokrajhar like Sorolpara, Ultapani, Kochugaon, Navarbita, Duramari, New Basbari etc. participated in the programme. Apart from these children from Destination Girls Home, students of higher education programme of NEDAN Foundation and IT student supported by Nedan also took part in the programme where they performed dance and speech on issues like child marriage, child labour, child protection (awareness on 1098 toll free no.), trafficking. It was an initiative of NEDAN to provide a platform to the most privileged girls and under privileged girls to come in one place and share their experience. It was an immense pleasure to see 100 plus girls taking active part in the programme. 50 Students of IT skills learning programme that completed their computer course successfully were also awarded completion certificates by the teachers from Germany under the initiative of Nedan Foundation. Best performers were also awarded prizes for achieving in various fields like Child activist, sports, dance and speech. Such program motivates children to build confidence in their life and face the modern challenge
